Images and Video How tos
For images, we don't have size limit (dimensions wise), but images are limited to max file size of 14MBs.
For videos, we don't have size limit (dimensions wise) or time limit, but the videos are limited to max file size 300MBs.
Most people will just be playing the video from the little window it's in anyways, so there isn't a need to have a huge 4k+ video in that space.
You can also just simply put a link to any longer/larger videos instead that are hosted on other major video platforms.
We will be trying to keep up with embedding tech so that members could still watch a video hosted on another platform embedded on our site.
It's possible in the Future we may increase these limits, but for now, we are small time website and cannot afford the extra disk space to be able to host large image and video files yet.
Uploaded files we currently support: .jpg .jpeg .png .gif .webp .mp4.
Issues with uploading Images/Videos from a smart device (smartphones/tablets): If the image is uploading, but becoming sideways or upside down after upload, this is caused by metadata information embedded in the image.
Most often, the smart device will embed orientation information such as Landscape or Portrait. To fix this issue, open the image in an image editing program like Windows Paint, then don't edit, but simply resave the image with a new name, example: use the same name but add the words 2nd Copy to the end, the new image will save without the orientation metadata, and when you upload the new image, it should be the correct orientation.

Subscriptions
Our Website is free for anyone to use of course, but we do offer a subscription for a small cost to help towards the costs, development, and well being of Backslasho. The subscription only gives subscribed members a few more additional features with profile customizations.
Cookies
Of course we use browser cookies, most websites need to use cookies to give you a better experience, for example; when you set the color/theme mode, a cookie is set showing what color/theme you want, so the next day when you come back to the website, it will check the cookie and set your color/theme right away so you won't have to set it again and again.
Cookies are also used to keep the user logged into the website, so you wouldn't need to login everytime you visit the website, keep in mind this is why it is important to sign-out on the website if you don't want other people who use your computer to have access to your account (especially public computers - Always sign-out).
Advertise on Backslasho?
If you are interested in advertising on our Website, we do plan to have a small advertisement system in place, but it is not in place yet.
Terms of Service
Our Terms of Service section lists basic information and rules of what we will allow or not allow on our website, and stating that we reserve the right to limit, remove, or ban members at our discretion for any reason.
Our Privacy Policy
We take members' privacy concerns very serious. However; please keep in mind that we are a Website that is publicly visible to pretty much anyone around the world and beyond, please don't disclose information about yourself that you would like to keep ultra secret.

Please note: We do not sell or share our email addresses list with any 3rd party, and we very rarely send emails. We mainly use email addresses towards verifying a member is real and for login purposes, and we need the email address in case the member has forgotten their password and we need to send a new temporary password.
